GMO or NO? PBL Project

Having an understanding of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) is an important concept, not only in science but in agriculture. This project helps students understand what defines a GMO and also investigate how they are currently being used in agriculture. Students will research various GMO's currently being used. Once students have grasped the concept of Genetic Modifications, they will be asked to use their knowledge to create a campaign either in favor or against allowing GMOs in the U.S. food supply. This unit is brought to you by Krim Caetano (CTE) with support from the CTE Online curriculum leadership team and detailed coordination provided by Team Lead Laura Gallardo. This unit was also a collaboration with colleague Frances Mikasa.
