Dinner at your Door - Exploring Subscription Meal Kits PBL Project

Meal-kit delivery services are popping up daily. New companies are advertising to entice cooks of all levels to make their daily food preparation easier. People are busier than ever but are concerned about eating healthy meals, saving money and eating at home. What is involved in ordering a subscription to this service? Lesson 1 - Students will explore the contents of a meal-kit box, observe a demo of one meal and taste the results. Lesson 2 - Students will research and compare the various companies that are available. Lesson 3 - Students will cook a meal from a meal-kit, testing out the process of a meal kit subscription and use a meal-kit recipe to prepare a meal. Lesson 4 - In this lessons students will work in groups to design a meal-kit box with the idea their kit being evaluated. This project is brought to you by Debbie Harvey (CTE) with support from the CTE Online curriculum leadership team and detailed coordination provided by the Course Team Lead Joshua Bradley.
