Customer Data Collection and Analysis: The New Marketing Oil PBL Project

Data is the new marketing oil this day in age. As marketers, we can collect and study the data to make predictions and better financial decisions, but is it ethical? In this unit series of 4 lessons, students will be able to describe the different types of data, how it is collected and what marketers do with it. While exploring the importance of data they will also be exposed to the dark side of data collection and how it is collected from unsuspecting individuals such as themselves. Then they will be tasked to conduct their own data research collection, present and make fiscal decisions based on their findings.
