Grab and Go Breakfast PBL Project
Statistics say by the time children reach high school, under 40% of them are eating breakfast daily. This project covers the importance of a eating a healthy breakfast as students generate solutions to the problem of skipping breakfast.
The project begins with learning the benefits of eating breakfast and what actually constitutes a healthy breakfast. Students then delve into problem solving solutions to the many reasons for skipping breakfast and hone in on one particular reason, "not having enough time." Groups of students work together to come up with a healthy version of a "Grab and Go Breakfast," prepare and package the meal, then complete with classmates for the title of "Class Best."
