Give and Let Live! Blood Banking PBL Project

How to meet the needs of millions....1 pint at a time! Students will explore the amazing hidden world of blood and blood banks. As they advance their knowledge to the types of cells used in blood banking they can apply this to practicing the routine tests of hematocrit and blood smear analysis. Their capstone project is to prepare an educational slide show to educate their peers as well as potential donors about the detailed use of blood products that originate within one life saving pint of blood. Each donation is indeed a Happy Hour! This project is brought to you by Judy Barcelon (CTE) with support from the CTE Online curriculum leadership team and detailed coordination provided by the Course Team Lead Gayle Nicholls-Ali.
