The Basics of Cyber Security
These four lesson will delve into the core concepts of cyber security confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA). These lessons will include exercises, real-life scenarios, and activities designed to reinforce the aforementioned CIA triad principles to ensure a safe and functional computer system. Topics to be covered include:
- Risk Management
- Password Protection
- The Different Types of Social Engineering Attacks and Threats
- Encryption and Cryptography
At the end of this project students will be able to:
- Identify Risks (and make decisions on how to manage these risk)
- Create a Strong Password Policy
- Create a Response Plan to Counter a Social Engineering Attack (in case of an information breach or unauthorized entry)
- Learn the Process of Encrypting and Decrypting Data and the importance of the process.
